Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Tea Room Staff member to join our welcoming team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and excellent guest service skills, ensuring a memorable experience for visitors. Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of teas, coffees, and light refreshments in accordance with established standards Assist guests with menu selections and provide friendly, attentive service Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the tea room, including clearing tables and sanitising surfaces Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or baked goods as required Manage delivery orders efficiently, ensuring timely service and accurate delivery to guests or external clients Operate point-of-sale systems accurately and process payments in compliance with food safety regulations Ensure adherence to food safety standards and health & safety protocols at all times Provide excellent guest services by addressing enquiries courteously via phone or in person Support the team during busy periods by assisting with serving and general organisation Cooking breakfasts and omelettes Deep cleaning kitchen and dining areas

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or food preparation is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous Strong communication skills and friendly phone etiquette are essential for guest interactions Experience as a waiter/ess, chef, or kitchen hand will be considered a plus Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Organised with good attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and service Flexibility to work during opening hours, including weekends if required. Opening hours are currently 9am - 2.30pm tuesday - sunday, which can change with the business needs and seasons dictate A positive attitude with excellent guest service skills and professionalism at all times

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
