About us:



We've been on quite the journey at The Wymering School over the last 2 years. We opened our new school and doubled our student/staffing numbers.

At The Wymering School, part of the Southern Education Trust, we're passionate about creating an environment where every child, regardless of their challenges, can shine.

We specialise in supporting young people with Social Communication and Interaction difficulties, associated Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties and high level of anxiety and/or associated distressed behaviour.

We're now looking for an enthusiastic and caring teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis, continuing to inspire and support our pupils during this important period.

What you'll be doing:



As part of our friendly and collaborative team, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons for our KS3 pupils that bring learning to life and help every pupil achieve their potential. Adapt your teaching to meet the needs of all learners, celebrating their strengths and helping them overcome challenges. Create a positive, calm and respectful classroom environment where children feel safe, confident and ready to learn. Use assessment to track progress, celebrate achievements and identify next steps. Work closely with colleagues, support staff and parents to make sure each child receives the very best education and care. Take part in school life -- whether that's joining an assembly, helping with an event, or sharing ideas with your team. Engage in professional development opportunities within The Wymering School and across the Southern Education Trust.

We're looking for a teacher who is friendly, adaptable, and passionate about helping pupils flourish. You will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), we welcome applications from primary and secondary teachers. Be approachable, patient and positive, able to build strong relationships with young teenagers. Have excellent classroom management skills, keeping pupils engaged and motivated. Be creative, enthusiastic, and ready to make lessons interactive and inspiring. Enjoy working as part of a supportive team and contributing to the life of the school. Share our commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.
