Maths provision at the Sixth Form is broad ranging and is a consistently in demand curriculum subject. Student applications increase year on year and our results across the board are outstanding; the maths department is consistently one of the best in College at securing successful outcomes for learners. The successful candidate will contribute to the success of the students and the department through the GCSE, currently double national benchmark post 16 Grade 4+ and Core Maths programmes, where 50% of students get higher grade passes. All resources for both courses are written and robust schemes of work are in place.
We are seeking to appoint a teaching professional who can engage students with a range of diverse and well-planned lessons and who will stimulate curiosity for the wider world of Maths alongside facilitating a course of study that provides both enjoyment and academic challenge.
With a collective focus on ensuring that every student achieves their personal best, the Sixth Form aims to create a culture and ethos which promotes initiative, curiosity, creativity, confidence and independence in all our learners.
