Chemistry is extremely popular throughout the school. It is taught as a standalone subject from Year 7 onwards. The department's curricular and super-curricular programme is rigorous and engaging, overseen by specialist teachers and supported by dedicated technical staff. A range of new technologies is used in a modern suite of well-equipped classrooms and laboratories to facilitate effective learning. There is a strong focus on skills development and independent learning and high importance is placed on hands-on practical work.
