The Community School of Auchterarder



An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Maths to join our school's Secondary Maths Faculty.



This post is a part-time 0.6 FTE, permanent post. Two of the three working days will need to be Wednesday and Friday but there will be flexibility around the third day.



Our Maths Faculty comprises 5 teachers.



The role will be working with Secondary pupils across BGE to Advanced Higher.


About the School



The Community School of Auchterarder is an all-through school, comprising Nursery, Primary and Secondary departments serving the community of Auchterarder and surrounding district.



We have a roll of approximately 1,100 children and young people across all three sectors.



The school is situated in a rural location, approximately 14 miles south of Perth with good road networks to the rest of Perthshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh and the central belt.



Our Associated Primary Schools are Aberuthven, Blackford and Dunning.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of pedagogies that engage learners.



The successful candidate will take account of the needs of all learners in their classrooms and ensure inclusive practice that leads to positive outcomes for learners.



An ability to analyse data to ensure that outcomes for young people are the best they possibly can be, will be required.



You will have high aspirations for learners, good communication skills with parents/carers and form respectful relationships. The successful applicant will be also be skilled in positive behaviour management techniques, including restorative approaches.
