We are looking for a Teacher of Music to join our team here at Skegness Academy



About the role:




The Skegness Academy is now seeking to appoint a talented, well-qualified, inspirational musician and teacher, who can communicate to young people a passion and enthusiasm for music that extends well beyond the classroom.


The successful candidate will build on the outstanding reputation of the department in supporting a wide range of opportunities for all students to be involved in the musical life of the school. They will play an integral part of the co-curricular music provision, leading and directing many of the co-curricular groups.

About us:




We provide 11-19 education for up to 1190 pupils, including 340 post-16. The Academy occupies a large site with extensive sports facilities and green space. In recent years we have completed a 19m capital building programme, providing new and refurbished buildings to give pupils and staff a high-quality learning environment.


Our students benefit from a rigorous and robust curriculum, delivered through excellent teaching. We emphasise not only knowledge and understanding across all subjects but also essential skills such as respect, politeness, and good manners. Our goal is to prepare students to thrive as 21st century citizens.

Pupils and staff will see a lot of the leadership team during the Academy day. They spend a great deal of time around the Academy, visiting lessons and supporting staff to ensure that basic standards are being met, and the quality of teaching and learning is consistently high.


This Academy is sponsored by the Greenwood Academies Trust which was formed in 2009 and now educates approximately 19,000 pupils across seven local authority areas including Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, Leicester City, Northamptonshire, Peterborough and Lincolnshire.
