Responsible to:
The staff member is ultimately responsible to their Line Manager / Headteacher.
Salary:
21,000 (unqualified Teacher) - 28,000 (qualified Teacher with QTS)
Contract term:
Probationary Period for 6 months, Permanent thereafter
Requirements:
Must have a relevant Degree and GCSE C or above of equivalent in English and Maths.
The Board of Governors at Penarth Group School are seeking to appoint a teacher of Science.
The teacher of Double Science will be a key figure in the development of their subject area, acting internally and externally with those organisations concerned with developments in their subject areas.
They will be expected to play an active part in the overall development of the school, liaising closely with the Headteacher and are expected to work at the Headteachers direction, giving the benefit of their training and experience in the discussion and development of policy.
They must also have experience of working with young people with behavioural difficulties and those with additional needs and learning difficulties. Candidates must have a passion for working with young people and are committed to making a difference to their future. We are seeking to employ a teacher who has energy, enthusiasm, and full commitment to the profession.
Penarth Group School is a Specialist Private Independent Secondary School for young people aged 11-18 years (Key Stages 3, 4 and 5) and is maintained by Penarth Group, the Governing Body, Headteacher and staff of the school. It caters for young people who have social, emotional, or mental health difficulties. Many students also have additional complex needs including Autism, ADHD, ADD, OCD, SEMH, Specific Learning Difficulties, and Communication Difficulties. The school is registered with the Department for Education (DfE) to meet the needs of up to 15 students between the ages of 11- 18 years.
