Teaching and Learning Lead



We are seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching and Learning Lead to drive innovation and excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment across Furness College. This is a key leadership role, reporting to the Vice Principal for Curriculum and Quality and working across all curriculum teams to support continuous improvement in the College's approach to inclusive, high quality teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities include:



Leading continuous improvement and innovation in teaching, learning, and assessment across the college. Co-ordinating and deploying a team of Teaching & Learning Champions to support curriculum teams. Championing evidence-informed practice and foster communities of practice to share ideas and support innovation. Leading coaching programmes for new and developing teachers, ensuring rapid improvement where needed. Evaluating teaching and learning practice and reporting on impact to senior leadership. Designing and delivering a high-impact CPD programme aligned to teaching excellence priorities.

We are looking for a strong practitioner with

:

A Diploma in Education & Training (or equivalent) and ideally a degree or coaching qualification.

Proven experience of delivering high quality engaging teaching and learning with strong student outcomes

Proven experience in improving teaching and learning standards and developing own practice

Excellent leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

A commitment to inclusive practice and continuous professional development.

Salary:

44,217-48,260

Hours:

37 hours per week

Tenure:

Permanent

Annual Leave:

30 days plus bank holidays and up to 5 days Christmas closure.
