You'll need to be:
Compassionate and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting children and young people
Flexible and proactive, able to adapt to different school environments and age groups
Knowledgeable about SEND, or willing to learn and grow in this area
A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential. Experience in alternative provision (AP) or supporting children with additional needs is a strong advantage.
Your Role
As a Bank Teaching Assistant, you'll:
Support learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff
Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils
Assist with outdoor learning, play, and supervision during breaks
Help meet pupils' emotional, social, and physical needs, including personal care where required
