Our school is an over subscribed and thriving Special School, based in Barnstaple, North Devon. We cater for children aged 5-16 with complex SEND needs, all of whom have Communication and Interaction needs and are working significantly below age related expectations academically. All of our students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Teaching Assistant (permanent/temporary) - 32 hours per week (38 weeks per year)

Salary Range 12.92 per hour

We have an established career progression path for our TAs - so why not join our committed team of SEND practitioners? Your role will be to support students with their learning, and during mid-morning and lunch breaks. Your day will start at 8.45am and finish at 3.30pm (4pm on Tuesdays). We are committed to providing training and CPD to all staff and in developing your skills. Previous experience and training in working with pupils with special educational needs would be desirable but not essential, as enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are the key attributes needed to be successful.
