We are looking to appoint candidates with successful experience of the following:
Applicants with experience of working within an EYFS/Nursery or Pre?school environment and/or
Experience of working with children with SEMH needs, within a resource provision or special needs school would be highly advantageous
To support pupils with high levels of SEND
Supporting pupils at the earliest stages of learning English as a second language or language acquisition
Delivering small group interventions
Working with professionals from agencies beyond the school e.g. Outreach Services
A sound understanding of phonics
Knowledge of an additional language would be welcome
Essential requirements for this post include:
NVQ Level 3 - Teaching Assistant or equivalent
GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or equivalent
Previous experience in a Primary educational setting supporting learners in and beyond the classroom
A high standard of oral and written communication skills in English
Ability to relate well to children, parents and staff

This post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 because it involves working directly with young people
If shortlisted for interview, you will be required to declare whether you have any criminal convictions (or cautions or bind overs), including those which are "spent"
The successful candidate(s) will be required to undertake a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check before commencing employment
An overseas check will also be required if there is any period of time spent living or working outside of the UK

3 x days 8.25am - 3.30pm
1 x day 8.25am - 4.15pm
1 x day 8.15am - 4.15pm
