Teaching Assistant
Job Description
We are working with a specialist school in Wiltshire to find a committed, proactive Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children with complex needs and understands the importance of a calm, structured and nurturing environment. You will be part of a highly experienced and supportive team, helping young pupils develop their communication, independence and emotional regulation.
The class is small, and the setting includes a sensory garden, Forest School and animal care provision. It is a creative, hands-on environment designed to help pupils feel safe and confident in their learning.
Ideal candidates will:
Have experience in early years, care or special education Remain calm and responsive in busy or challenging situations Understand sensory and communication needs Be a strong team player with excellent communication skills Bring positivity, patience and initiative to the role
