KS1 Teaching Assistant

Key Details

Hours:

8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Start Date:

Monday 15th September 2025

Pay:

Competitive, dependent on age and experience

Contract Options:

Term-time only (salary spread across the year - 14 weeks school holidays) Term-time + holiday camps (52 weeks with 28 days paid holiday, plus higher salary if working in holiday camps) Term-time only + optional overtime at our holiday camps

Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons in

Key Stage 1

Provide small group interventions to support learning and progress Assist with phonics, early literacy and numeracy development Ensure all children are engaged, safe, and supported effectively Work with children with SEND needs, promoting inclusion at all times Help create a positive and stimulating classroom environment

Skills and Requirements

Previous experience working in KS1 (desirable) Strong communicator with the ability to build positive relationships with children and staff Team player: reliable, flexible, and committed Highly organised with good time management Experience working with children with SEND (highly desirable) DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
