SEND Teaching Assistant (1:1 Reception) - Ellesmere Port

SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant

to support a child in Reception on a part-time basis.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to start or build a career in education, with ongoing training, qualifications, and opportunities for progression.

Key Details

Location:

Ellesmere Port (Reception Class)

Hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons only (part-time contract)

Contract:

Term-time only (with optional paid holiday camp work for extra earnings)

Pay:

Competitive, dependent on age and experience

About the Role

Work 1:1 with a child in Reception, providing tailored support to help them thrive Support learning, communication, and social development in line with individual needs Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to follow personalised plans Encourage independence, confidence, and inclusion in class activities Ensure the child feels safe, supported, and ready to learn every day

About You

Kind, patient, and reliable with a passion for helping children Strong communicator who can build trust with both children and staff Flexible and proactive, able to adapt to changing needs Previous experience supporting children with SEND (desirable but not essential - training provided) DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
