Justteachers is currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in
Harrogate
for a dedicatedTeaching Assistant
with experience supporting pupils withSpecial Educational Needs (SEN)
. This full-time role is set to beginafter the October half term
, with the potential to become apermanent placement
for the right candidate.In this role, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, helping them access learning and manage daily routines. Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored interventions and differentiated activities. Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals. Contribute to pupil progress through consistent support and effective communication.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting. A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. A willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 90.00-115.00 per day
