Teaching Assistant
Job Description
We are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to join our team at Gwenllian Education Centre. Our Teaching Assistants support children between the ages of 5 - 19 years old, educating pupils across the Autism Spectrum.
Staff at our specialist school have the benefit of a high staff to pupil ratio, regular contracted school hours, access to our in-house induction and training programme, 13 weeks paid holidays a year and an opportunity to work with our specialist staff including our Specialist Teacher and Behaviour Analysts.
We are looking for individuals who have experience and knowledge of:
Supporting children with autism
Managing and supporting children that exhibit behaviours that challenge
Motivating children to learn
Implementing individualised educational programmes
Effectively using ICT to support learning
Self-evaluating learning needs and actively seeking learning opportunities
Relating well to children and adults
Working constructively and flexibly as part of a team
We welcome applications from enthusiastic individuals with experience or interest in the field of Autism or Applied Behaviour Analysis.
Hours of work: 32.5 hours (Monday - Friday).
Optional overtime available.
