Our school has a long history in the village beginning in 1872. We still have the original Victorian School Building which are very proud of. Since this time our school has grown to meet the needs of the local community. Our school has a good reputation among the parents and village community and our Ofsted Inspection in February 2025 confirmed that:-
"Upper Beeding Primary is a welcoming school. The warm and nurturing relationships between staff and pupils shine through the school. They reflect the school's values of teamwork, kindness, curiosity, and creativity. As a result, pupils are happy and safe. They are proud of their school and attend regularly".
We currently have 305 children on roll. Our children and their needs are at the very heart of all our decisions, and have created a learning environment in which individuals can excel. Our facilities include an extensive outdoor area and we encourage the children to play outside every day in most weathers. As a school, we pride ourselves on our welcoming and nurturing environment, and ensure that all pupils are supported to achieve well.
