The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting pupils during this important stage of their development. Your role will involve:

Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation Working with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning Assisting with phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy activities Supporting children with additional needs or lower ability levels Promoting a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment Helping to manage behaviour in a positive and supportive manner

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dependable, and committed to supporting young learners.

Requirements:

Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred) Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting A calm, nurturing, and patient approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills A good understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics The ability to adapt to different learning needs and styles

Qualifications

(Pre employment training provided by SCCU)

Level 2 Award in Support work in Schools Level 2 Certificate in Special educational needs

Eligibility criteria

You must be 19+ Have lived in the UK for the past 3 years Not currently in education Currently unemployed or in receipt of low wag (Under 25,7500)
