Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, including autism and other disabilities. This role is essential in helping students achieve their academic goals while promoting their social and emotional development.

Duties



Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of students. Provide one-on-one support to students, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and collaboration among all students. Support students with their academic work, offering tutoring and mentoring as needed. Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive interactions among peers. Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals regarding student progress and needs. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to special education and working with diverse learners.

Requirements



Experience working with children in an educational or mentoring capacity is essential. Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism, is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents. A patient and empathetic approach to teaching and supporting students' individual needs. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required. A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports all learners. Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 10.00-15.00 per hour
