Castlewood Primary School, a vibrant and forward-thinking school located in the sought-after village of Southwater, just outside Horsham, is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant & Midday Meals Supervisor to join our team.

Salary: 24,027 - 24,404 Pro Rata (WSCC Grade 3)
Contract Type: Fixed until July 2026 (may be potential to extend further)

We are looking for one or more Teaching Assistants to work in our school with our children in need of additional learning support.
We have a variety of mornings and afternoon shifts available working across Monday - Friday, term time only (38 weeks per year). If you would like to work at our school and have the skills outlined in the person specification, we would like to meet you!
Mornings start at 8.30am and the afternoon ends at 3.30pm. Please consider these timings when applying and let us know the arrangement of days/hours you would like to apply for.
The lunch hour runs from 12 until 1pm and all shifts would include this duty.
The successful candidate will be able to engage with children, support and care for them and ensure that their school experience is a positive, safe and happy one.
Our TAs are responsible for supervising the children, engaging them in their learning and helping them to achieve in all areas. Our Teaching Assistants regularly liaise with the staff about pupils' individual needs.
All TAs then supervise and engage the children in play on the playground and carry out lunch duties as a Midday Meal Supervisor.
Visits to our school prior to applying are encouraged.
