Location: Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire - Carnagill Primary School
Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2026
Hours/Working Pattern: 30 Hours Per Week 08:45-15:15
The schools at Catterick Garrison have worked closely together for a number of years and especially for the last 3 years on a SEND project funded by grants from a range of sources. Due to the high number of SEND pupils on the Garrison and in particular pupils with social, emotional and mental health challenges, the group of schools have received 1 year's funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund to set up a Nurture and Assessment unit supporting children from military families. Due to the funding stream available, the project will only run for 1 year.
This role is an exciting opportunity for two teaching assistants to be involved in the Nurture and Assessment Unit for pupils from military families. We require a compassionate, dedicated and nurturing person to inspire and support pupils who experience social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
As a nurture focused school, Carnagill Primary School will oversee the running of the unit and a Teaching Assistant with a strong knowledge base who is a caring and supportive individual.
