About the Role

We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at Treleigh CP School, working in a Key Stage 2 class. This role involves supporting all pupils, including those with SEND needs, in collaboration with the class teacher, parents, and wider school community.

Key Responsibilities

Support learning activities across the curriculum. Assist pupils with additional needs, particularly those with autism and/or moderate learning difficulties. Run daily small group work and learning interventions as and when required. Carry out general class-based support tasks under the direction of the teacher. Support the social and emotional development of pupils.

Person Specification

Essential:

Experience of working with children with autism and/or moderate learning difficulties. Good written and spoken literacy. Flexible, adaptable, and able to respond to changing needs. A positive team player with strong interpersonal skills. High expectations for children's achievement. Energetic, motivated, and with a good sense of humour.
