Who we are
We are an SEN school built on an ethos of creative and individualised learning. Students come to us when they need a new approach. We provide a safe, nurturing and transformative learning environment for vulnerable children aged 13 - 19. The education we provide is tailor-made for each child, based on their needs and interests. Teachers have the freedom to adapt the curriculum, using creativity to bring lessons alive.
Responsibilities:
Providing 1-1 / small group SEN Support
Work with young children who have difficulty with communication and social interaction
Ensuring children are engaged
Adapting to every individual pupil's needs
Helping with behaviour management of children
Be a key component in a child's early development
Profile:
Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Friendly, empathetic and motivating
Strong regard for pupil safety-and well being
Motivating with ability to engage pupils
Good ability to manage behaviour

You will need
Experience working with young people, ideally with SEN or SEMH.
GCSEs in Maths/English/Science at C or above.

All applicants must hold an enhanced DBS certificate (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered on the DBS update service. Candidates will be asked to provide a minimum of five years references and successfully pass all safeguarding checks
