dedicated Teaching Assistants (TA)
to join our growing team. You will support children and young people with
SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
and
challenging behaviours
, working within small, nurturing class groups where every learner is valued.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and wider education team to deliver a tailored and engaging curriculum.
You will support pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
Providing one-to-one and small group support to learners.
Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation.
Helping to create a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment.
Supporting pupils to meet targets in their
EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)
.
Encouraging participation, progress, and personal growth for every learner.
You'll be working within
small class sizes (no more than 12 learners)
, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and make a genuine impact.
What We're Looking For
Experience working with children or young people with
SEND
and/or
challenging behaviours
(essential).
A patient, resilient, and caring nature.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
A flexible, hands-on approach to supporting pupils both in and outside of the classroom.
Formal TA qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning) are desirable but not essential -- what matters most is your passion, commitment, and ability to engage learners.
