8:30 - 4:30 Monday to Friday

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic

Teaching Assistant

to support students and faculty in a college environment. The ideal candidate will assist lecturers, provide academic and pastoral support to students, and contribute to a positive learning experience. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education and student development.

Student Support:

Assist students with coursework, assignments, and understanding lesson materials. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help. Support students with special educational needs (SEN) or learning difficulties.

Classroom Assistance:

Assist lecturers in preparing learning materials and resources. Supervise classroom activities and ensure a positive learning environment. Support practical demonstrations and group work. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to lecturers.

Administrative Support:

Help with lesson planning and resource organization. Assist in grading assignments and maintaining student records. Manage classroom supplies and ensure resources are available.

Pastoral Care & Well-being:

Encourage and motivate students to achieve their potential. Provide emotional and behavioral support to students as needed. Promote inclusivity, safeguarding, and college policies.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to support students with diverse learning needs. Good organizational and time management skills. Basic IT skills for managing coursework and digital learning tools. A positive, patient, and supportive approach.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Previous experience in an educational or support role. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies. Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN).

Pay: 15.95-18.00 per hour
