A friendly primary school in Haringey is looking for a skilled Teaching Assistant to join their Year 2 team immediately. You will lead phonics intervention groups across two Year 2 classes, supporting pupils with varying levels of phonics and early reading development.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead small phonics groups to support early reading and phonics skills
Collaborate closely with class teachers and other teaching assistants within the year group and Key Stage 1
Use your strong knowledge of phonics to engage and motivate reluctant learners
Adapt support to meet individual pupil needs
Requirements:
Good knowledge of phonics and early reading strategies
Experience working with KS1 or EYFS pupils, ideally in phonics intervention
Excellent verbal and written English skills
Available to start immediately
