A vibrant and welcoming primary school in Harrow is looking to appoint

three Teaching Assistants

to join their collaborative and nurturing staff team for the new academic year. These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development in a diverse and inclusive school community.

The Role

As a General Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support whole-class learning

by assisting the teacher in delivering engaging lessons across core and foundation subjects.

Lead and support intervention groups

, including phonics, guided reading, speech and language activities, and maths catch-up.

Provide 1:1 support

to pupils as required, helping them stay on task and access the curriculum effectively.

Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement

, using consistent routines and clear expectations to foster a calm, purposeful environment.

Monitor and record pupil progress

during classroom and intervention activities, sharing observations with the class teacher and SENCO.

Prepare and organise teaching resources

, learning materials, and displays to support lesson delivery and classroom enrichment.

Collaborate effectively with teaching staff

, SEN support, and senior leaders to ensure each child's needs are met and progress is maximised.
What We're Looking For

Experience working in a primary school setting is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine interest in supporting young learners and contributing to their academic and social development. Patience, reliability, and a team-oriented approach. A proactive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to get involved in the wider life of the school.
