Y.O.U.R Beauty School CIC is a Local Authority approved Alternative Provision, proud to offer training and education to young people aged 13+ who have disengaged or at risk of becoming disengaged from mainstream education. Through our education and training programmes we provide our young people with opportunities to explore their creative side.

We are looking for a teaching or classroom assistants to support teachers by helping to supervise activities in the classroom, working with students on an individual, small group or whole class basis.

Main responsibilities:



Supporting children across oir curriculum, often with a particular focus on Beauty Therapy theory and practical classes, maths, reading and writing Helping to develop programmes of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials Motivating and encouraging pupils Assisting with marking and correcting work To support the personal and educational development of young people who have a range of challenges, so they can achieve their full potential To support the students' through 1-1 and small group work. Working with each student in a personalised way which reflects their level of understanding and ability

Education and Qualifications:



Good standard of Literacy and Numeracy Knowledge of basic health and safety A good understanding of equal opportunities or a willingness to learn Willingness to undertake training as appropriate to enable you to fulfill the role Qualified Teaching Assistant

Essential skills and experience:



Interest or experience in working in a classroom environment Excellent communication and listening skills Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to relate positively and in a non-discriminatory way to people at all levels, from a range of backgrounds and communities, with and without disabilities Experience in managing challenging behaviour Special Educational Need experience (SEN)
