We are now looking for a Teaching Assistant in Inclusive Education to join us on a part-time basis until 1st July 2026.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant in Inclusive Education, you will support undergraduate and postgraduate inclusive education programmes and courses focused on SEND students.
Specifically, you will develop and deliver teaching, supervision and examinations, and design and deliver lectures, seminars and supervisions, incorporating inclusive and accessible teaching approaches.
Contributing to postgraduate research methods teaching, you will focus on qualitative, participatory and inclusive methodologies, while helping to shape curriculum content within relevant modules.
Additionally, you will:
Supervise postgraduate students and co-ordinate teaching staff on modules
Mark coursework, including dissertations and offer constructive feedback
Set and mark exams, participating in examiners meetings and practical examinations
Support student admissions processes and provide academic references.
Produce online learning resources for internal use
About You
At a minimum, a PhD in a related area or equivalent demonstrable experience and/or a teaching qualification
Experience of university teaching in the area of educational inclusion of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
Experience of supervising students at undergraduate, Master's and/or PhD level
Experience of employing inclusive and accessible teaching approaches
Experience of developing course content at undergraduate and/or Master's level
Experience of assessing and marking at university level
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
