The University of St Andrews Business School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Coordinator to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality teaching administration across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the Departments of Economics, Finance and Management. Working closely with the Operations Manager, School Manager, Vice-Dean Education, Directors of Teaching, and other academic and professional services colleagues, the post-holder will play a pivotal role in harmonising and continuously improving teaching-related administrative processes across the School.
This is a leadership role, responsible for managing the Teaching Administration team, coordinating workloads, and ensuring efficient and proactive support for all aspects of teaching delivery. The post-holder will oversee timetabling, exams and assessments, student-facing events, and the updating of module handbooks and teaching webpages. They will also provide advice and guidance to staff and students, ensuring clear communication and excellent service standards.
We are looking for a candidate with significant experience working within a university teaching environment, with strong organisational and leadership skills. You will need to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage change and implement continuous improvement in complex environments. A collaborative and proactive approach is essential, alongside confidence in using a range of IT systems and the ability to prioritise a varied workload under pressure.

This is a fixed term position to provide cover whilst the substantive post holder is seconded to another role.
