27.5 hours per week - 39 weeks per year

The Governing Body of Llangyfelach Primary School is seeking to appoint an excellent Grade 2 Teaching Assistant.

Candidates should hold a Level 1 or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject and have previous experience of working within an education setting. Experience of working with children with additional needs is desirable. Additionally, the successful candidate will agree to undertake an Apprenticeship in Playwork qualification (if not already held) and this will be fully funded.

The successful candidate will be:-

Committed and passionate about learning and teaching, An excellent team player with a positive attitude, Understand the skills needed to support pupils with additional learning needs, Able to nurture, inspire and motivate pupils, Able to work as part of a team to achieve the best for each and every pupil

Additionally, it is essential that the successful candidate is able to work flexibly, as they will be expected to work additional hours between 7:30am - 5:30pm when required. These hours will be compensated at the standard rate.

The successful candidate will undergo an enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service prior to commencing employment.
