Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team, ensuring that all members are motivated and working towards common objectives.
Conduct team meetings to discuss performance, address concerns, and celebrate achievements.
Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance productivity.
Facilitate effective communication within the team and across departments to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Implement training programmes for new employees and provide ongoing support for skill development.
Address any conflicts or issues within the team promptly and professionally to maintain a harmonious work atmosphere.
Collaborate with management to develop strategies for continuous improvement in processes and team dynamics.
Experience
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role is desirable.
Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse group of individuals.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
Demonstrated analytical skills to assess performance metrics and implement necessary changes effectively.
Computer literacy is essential as the home is transitioning to being "paper-free".
Home environment
We are a 41 bedded home, with mixed residential and nursing residents, within a short walking distance of Newport town. We are looking to recruit an exceptional Team Lead to fill the position as outlined above, to continue providing high standards of care to our wonderful service users.
Full training will be provided for all new staff. This includes face-to-face Manual Handling, Fire Safety and Fire Evacuation with the addition of E-Learning modules. A full induction will be provided to new staff who will be supported by colleagues to ensure knowledge and care are to a high standard.
