About the Role

Kids Ahoy Nursery is looking for a passionate, caring, and experienced early years practitioner to take on the role of

Team Leader in our Baby Room

. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a nurturing environment, enjoys supporting the youngest children on their early developmental journey, and is confident in leading a small, dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

Take day-to-day responsibility for the effective running of the baby room, ensuring a warm, stimulating, and safe environment for children aged 0-2. Lead by example in delivering high-quality care and engaging learning opportunities in line with Curriculum for Excellence and GIRFEC principles. Build strong, respectful relationships with babies, parents/carers, and staff. Plan, observe, and evaluate activities that support children's development and individual needs. Maintain accurate records including care routines, developmental milestones, and parent communication. Support and mentor team members, promoting best practice and professional development. Ensure the baby room operates in line with current legislation, Health and Social Care Standards, and Kids Ahoy policies. Work closely with the nursery management team to maintain high standards across the setting.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 35 per week
