We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation and service. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring high standards of food safety and production, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Duties
Oversee daily operations within the kitchen or restaurant setting, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards.
Supervise and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
Manage food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Implement food safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Assist in training new staff members on kitchen procedures, food safety practices, and customer service expectations.
Collaborate with management to develop menus that reflect seasonal offerings and customer preferences.
Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure continuity of operations.
Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and collaboration among staff.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent leadership skills with a focus on motivating team members towards achieving common goals.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Previous culinary experience is highly desirable, along with familiarity with kitchen operations.
Experience in serving customers with a strong emphasis on hospitality is essential.
Background in hotel or barista roles can be advantageous but is not mandatory.
