This role involves supervising care staff, ensuring compliance with care plans and regulations, and maintaining excellent communication between service users, their families, and the care team. Key Responsibilities:
Lead, support, and supervise a team of care workers delivering personal care and support in the community.
Conduct spot checks, supervisions, and competency assessments of care staff in line with company policies.
Support the Care Manager in creating and reviewing care plans, risk assessments, and other documentation.
Ensure care is delivered according to individual service users' needs and preferences, promoting dignity and independence.
Respond promptly to any concerns or incidents, following safeguarding procedures as necessary.
Participate in the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of care staff.
Maintain accurate records of care delivered, observations, and any changes in a service user's condition.
Liaise with service users, families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated care.
Participate in the on-call rota as required, including out-of-hours support.
Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and relevant legislation.
Deliver high standard of care out in the community.
Requirements:
Essential:
Experience in a domiciliary or community care setting.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to use care management software and complete documentation accurately.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
Knowledge of CQC standards and domiciliary care regulations.
Experience with staff training and performance management.
