We are now seeking an experienced and motivated
Team Leader
to join our home in
Manchester
. You'll play a key role in leading a team of Residential Support Workers to deliver high-quality care and make a real difference in the lives of young people.
About the Role
As a
Team Leader
, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure that the daily operations of the home run smoothly and that our young people receive the best possible care and support. You will be both a leader and a hands-on practitioner, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and positive environment for everyone.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and support a team of Residential Support Workers
Ensure high standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations and company policies
Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for young people
Oversee shift planning, supervision, and team performance
Support the development and implementation of individual care and support plans
Manage incidents, safeguarding concerns, and documentation in line with procedures
Act as a role model for staff and young people, promoting positive relationships and professional boundaries
Contribute to inspections, reviews, and staff training as required
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting (essential)
At least 1 year of supervisory or senior experience (preferred)
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Children and Young People's Workforce) or equivalent (essential)
Working knowledge of Ofsted standards and safeguarding procedures
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Compassionate, patient, and resilient approach
