Job Title: Team Leader - Children's Residential Home
Location: Warrington (WA5)
Salary: 32,000 - 35,000 per annum (dependent on experience & qualifications)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
About Us
We are a child-focused residential care provider dedicated to supporting young people aged 8-18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Our Sutton Coldfield home provides a stable, nurturing environment where children can feel safe, valued, and empowered to thrive.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a proactive and experienced
Team Leader
to help lead our passionate care team and support the day-to-day operations of the home.
Role Overview
As a
Team Leader
, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the home, supporting both staff and children. You'll lead by example, act as a role model for the team, and maintain the highest standards of care and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, support and mentor a team of residential support workers
Assist the Registered Manager with staff supervision, rotas, training and development
Maintain high standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations and individual care plans
Support children in all aspects of daily life, including education, routines, emotional wellbeing and personal development
Manage incidents, ensure safeguarding procedures are followed, and contribute to a safe and supportive environment
Support with audits, reports and liaise with external professionals and agencies
Take part in shift work including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins (sleep-in allowance paid)
What We're Looking For
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting
Previous experience supervising or mentoring staff (Team Leader or Senior Support Worker level preferred)
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - Essential
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, resilient, and professional attitude
A clear understanding of safeguarding, child protection and relevant legislation
Full UK driving licence (preferred)
