28,000 to 29,500 per annum (Additional pay for sleep-in)
The Role
As a
Team Leader
, you'll play a key role in supporting the Registered and Deputy Managers in the day-to-day running of the home. You'll ensure the highest standards of care and safety are maintained while promoting a positive, homely, and professional environment for the children and young people we support.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the Registered and Deputy Managers with staff supervision, performance management, recruitment, and training.
Leading shifts, managing staff deployment, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes through individualised care planning.
Maintaining accurate and professional records, including care plans and risk assessments.
Promoting safeguarding practices and taking immediate action on any concerns.
Building positive relationships with families, schools, and other agencies.
Deputising for the Deputy Manager when required.
Essential experience and skills:
Experience working with young people in a residential care setting.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development, and relevant childcare legislation.
Qualifications:
Level 3 qualification in Children's Social Care, Youth Work, or related field (required).
Management / Team Leading qualification (desirable).
Full UK driving licence (preferred).
