Role Overview
As a Team Leader, you will provide leadership and oversight during shifts while also working hands-on to support children and young people emotionally, practically, and therapeutically.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee shifts, ensuring smooth operations and high standards
Support daily routines, meals, education, and activities
Build trusting relationships with young people
Promote therapeutic, trauma-informed care
Advocate for children in meetings and external settings
Maintain accurate records and care plans in line with Ofsted requirements
Support positive behaviour through boundaries and de-escalation strategies
Contribute to a professional, supportive team culture
Put into practice training provided to deliver the highest quality care
Mentor and coach staff, providing real-time feedback and support
Lead on incident management and safeguarding during shifts
Person Specification
Essential:
Minimum 2 years' residential childcare experience
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
Experience leading shifts or small teams
Knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management, and trauma-informed care
