We are seeking a passionate and motivated

Team Leader

to join a children's residential home that provides high-quality care and support for young people with

Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

and complex needs.

As

Team Leader

, you will play a vital role in leading shifts, supporting staff, and ensuring that children and young people receive safe, consistent, and therapeutic care that helps them flourish.

This is an excellent step-up opportunity for an experienced

Senior Support Worker

with at least 2 years in children's residential care. You'll be supported to continue your professional development, with clear opportunities to progress into Deputy Manager and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Lead shifts and supervise staff, ensuring a positive, child-centred culture in the home. Support the Deputy and Registered Manager with safeguarding responsibilities and compliance. Contribute to care planning and ensure daily routines meet the needs of each young person. Act as a role model, supporting children to build resilience, independence, and positive outcomes. Mentor and support junior staff in their day-to-day practice and development.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience in children's residential care Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People (or equivalent). Strong knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management, and residential childcare standards. Experience leading shifts and supervising staff. Full UK Driving Licence required.
