Role Overview: Team Leader Community Support



Duties include, but not limited to:



Routinely oversee and monitor care workers, care assistants and support workers.

Monitoring the on-call phone as per the rota.

Take responsibility for the shift and for the service whilst on duty and lead by example.

Spot checks and supervisions for care workers.

Reviews client's medication and complete medication competencies on staff

Day to day supervision of the team and reporting back to manager with any concerns.

Reports to management team with duty of candour

Act as an advocate for the staff.

Attending emergency personal care calls such as washing, shaving, bathing, and showering, dental care, toilet care and assistance including that of menstrual and continence needs, assisting with dressing and undressing when required.

Assisting and administering medications in line with the service users care plan and prescribed medication administration record.

Occasional short notice assistance working as part of the team.

Needs to be flexible to account for all staff members shift patterns.

Skills and Qualifications:



Level 3 Qualification in Health and Social care or working towards.



Valid UK driving licence and own transport



Safeguarding Adults Level 3 (training will be provided).



Exceptional communication skills.



Well spoken English Language skills.



Good listening skills.



Must be able to challenge poor care standards.



Able to work individually or part of a team.



Knowledge and understanding of Alzheimer's.



Kind, compassionate, empathetic, and have a genuine caring nature.
