We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead to join our team, providing essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to seniors and those requiring additional help in a luxurious private care home setting. This role requires strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Supporting the Unit Managers in leading a team of dedicated carers.
Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Supervise and monitor residents to ensure their safety and well-being.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs and progress.
Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in resident condition to the appropriate personnel.
Foster a warm and supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity for all residents.
Provide timely supervision and appraisals to the staff team.
Experience
Previous experience in care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Hold a valid SVQ qualification or be willing to work towards achieving this.
Strong IT skills for managing care plans and documentation are advantageous.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to supervise other staff members effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for interacting with residents and their families.
A valid driving license is desirable for transporting residents when necessary.
