Salary: 32,597 - 36,363 plus additional earning potential of up to 5,000 with enhancements

Were launching a brand-new, trailblazing Childrens Home in Seaham -The Beacon - designed to offer planned respite care that helps children and families stay together working with Supporting Solutions. This is not just a job - its a mission to prevent children from entering care by offering tailored, trauma-informed support in a nurturing, home-from-home environment.

Your Role:





As Team Leader, youll support the Registered Manager in shaping and delivering this innovative service. Youll:
Lead and manage shifts, making key decisions in real time. Supervise and inspire a team of Residential Workers. Champion trauma-informed, relational care practices. Take the lead in planning, recording, and reviewing care. Help shape a culture of aspiration, dignity, and unity.



What Youll Bring:


Significant experience in residential childcare. Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent equivalent qualification as stated in the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015. Please refer to QS Stat Guidance on page 71 to confirm relevant equivalent qualifications). Strong leadership, communication, and report-writing skills. A passion for making a difference and a mindset that embraces challenge and change.



What Youll Get:


Basic salary: 32,597 - 36,363 (starting salary within the grade range will consider experience relevant to the post, if required for external candidates) Enhancements: Earning potential up to 5,000 extra for sleep-ins, unsociable hours, and overtime Sleep-in rate: 41.78 per night Annual leave: 27 days + bank holidays (rising to 32 days after 5 years) Pension: Excellent Local Government Pension Scheme Perks: Discounts, wellbeing support, gym membership, salary sacrifice schemes, and more
