As a Team Leader, you'll guide a passionate team in creating environments where people grow in confidence, feel empowered, and live fulfilling lives. Your leadership will support both your team and the adults they work with to make meaningful choices every day.
What you'll be doing
You'll lead both on- and off-shift, focusing on empowerment, independence, and positive experiences:
Inspire your team through coaching, mentoring, and role-modelling person-centred support
Ensure support plans, records, and risk assessments reflect individuals' goals and guide daily practice
Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing, supporting adults to engage in community, work, education, leisure, and daily life
Manage resources responsibly, including IT systems, finances, and safe, well-maintained homes and equipment
Support recruitment, training, supervision, and development to help your team thrive
Build strong, trusting relationships with families, colleagues, and external partners
Participate in on-call and duty manager responsibilities to maintain smooth, safe operations
Who You Are
You lead with heart and put people first. You'll bring:
Experience leading shifts and supporting a team
A Level 2 Diploma in Adult Social Care (or willingness to work towards Level 3)
A supportive, empowering approach that helps learning disabled adults' live life their way
Confidence in coaching and developing a team
Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with colleagues, families, and partners
A proactive, flexible approach that inspires your team and ensures homes run smoothly
A valid driving license and your own transport for regional travel
