Job Description

We're seeking a highly driven and experienced Team Leader to take ownership of the day-to-day coordination and delivery of live events and operational activities across Edinburgh, Leith, and the surrounding areas.

In this hands-on leadership role, you'll be at the heart of every project -- guiding teams, managing on-site logistics, and ensuring all operations are delivered on time, on budget, and to an exceptional standard. You'll lead a motivated crew of event professionals and contractors, maintaining clear communication between teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure every element of delivery meets expectations and company standards.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoys combining strategic thinking with practical, on-the-ground leadership. You'll oversee event preparation and execution, ensuring equipment, staff, and logistics come together seamlessly. You'll make confident decisions on-site, solve problems proactively, and inspire your team to deliver excellence under pressure.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and supervise on-site teams during event setup, live delivery, and breakdown. Plan and allocate daily tasks to ensure smooth, efficient operations. Act as the main on-site point of contact for staff, clients, and contractors. Coordinate staffing, logistics, and supplier arrangements to meet project timelines. Carry out site inspections and risk assessments to ensure safety compliance. Motivate and support team members, fostering a positive and professional culture. Resolve issues quickly, maintaining calm and confident decision-making on-site. Manage equipment and inventory, ensuring correct use and safe storage. Uphold health and safety standards and promote best practices at all times. Contribute to post-event reports and continuous improvement of operational processes.

Skills and Experience



Essential:



Proven experience in a supervisory, team leader, or senior crew role within events, operations, or logistics. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate teams under pressure. Excellent organisation, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Confident decision-maker with a practical, hands-on approach. Solid understanding of on-site health and safety standards. Flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends, and long hours during live events. Full UK driving licence and ability to travel between event sites as required.

Desirable:



Experience in large-scale event setup, hospitality operations, or outdoor site management. IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification. First Aid at Work certificate. Knowledge of sustainable and environmentally responsible working practices.

Working Hours



Full-time position, typically Monday to Friday. Flexibility required for evening, weekend, and public holiday work during events.

Salary and Benefits



Salary:
