Active Healthcare Services are recruiting for a Team Leader to join our Edinburgh Service and become part of a dynamic management team who are currently going through an exciting service redesign.



As a Team leader you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your team. You will ensure that the service remains competitive, and efficiently managed and compliant with regulatory and statutory obligations. The Team Leader will be answerable to the Edinburgh Area Manager.

The post holder will:

Supervise a team in delivering forward thinking, person centred, and high-quality person-centred service. To lead and ensure good Autism and learning disability practice within a team. The ability to carry out assessments and service design. Compose staff rota's 4 weeks in advance. Ensure for the day-to-day delivery of the service in accordance with company policy. Ensure that service user's needs are met and that they are working towards agreed outcomes. Carry our Internal quality audits. Drive compliance with all polices and regulatory requirements; whilst striving to achieve the best possible outcomes and internal/external recognition of quality. Ensure that we have all required supporting documents in line with company policy and regulatory requirements. The ability to carry out staff supervisions, service user reviews and staff annual appraisals. Support the implementation of change, best practice, and continuous improvement. Minimum of an SVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care or working towards or equivalent. A good understanding of managing a small budget. The post holder must demonstrate: Ability to work under minimum supervision, a self-starter and motivated individual. Ability & knowledge of leading a service in a health or social care setting, including managing & supporting a staff team and volunteers. Experience and knowledge of leading an Autism specific service. Have exceptional organisational skills. Ability to manage a diverse staff team. Leading in practice and demonstrating positive work ethic Experience of dealing with and reporting incidents/accidents/near misses Ability to assess, plan and monitor support to achieve & evidence recovery and service outcomes. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently with colleagues at all levels. Skills and confidence to network and maintain relations with external colleagues & agencies. Ability to engage with service users, families & carers, to develop positive relationships.
Significant knowledge and understanding of the needs of people with varied care needs and be familiar with best practice development.
