JM Posner is a fast-growing company supplying catering supplies and catering machines to a wide range of customers. We sell lots of tasty ingredients including liquid chocolate sauces, chocolates and dessert mixes. We sell our own range of chocolate fountains and waffle machines, as well as being a stockist for machines from other international brands.
We are looking for an experienced and organised Engineer to build and repair our range of catering appliances. You will have a strong understanding of electrical wiring, electrical assembly and repair work. You will see opportunity for improvement and implement best practice to ensure efficient operations. We build the waffle machines and chocolate fountains in the UK, and ship these out directly to customers all over the world.
As well as covering any manufacturing warranty we also complete chargeable repairs for customers, not just on our own machines but sometimes other brands to support our customers. You will be able to problem solve repairs going to manufactures and parts suppliers to identify problems if required. All machines are bought back to our repair shop based at Sutton In Ashfield (NG17 5LD).
At JM Posner the most important people are our customers, you will be confident discussing faults and solutions with machines directly with the customers either face to face, over phone, e-mail or What's app. Some of our customers are overseas so clear e-mails with videos and pictures are a bonus to help them problem solve issues. Building up a repertoire of customer help information to make maintenance as easy as possible. Ensuring a smooth service by working with the customer service team to ensure all processes are actioned in a timely manner, to ensure customers get there machines back within the benchmarked time.
Duties will include:
Building machines to ensure we have stock prebuilt to supply customer orders.
Strong housekeeping and warehouse management skills, using locations to organise stock.
Picking stock machines for orders using warehouse scanners.
Inventory control of serial numbers and assembling machines through our production software.
Receiving, sorting and administering all deliveries promptly.
Maintaining of the Warehouse Management System to ensure all stock is stored correctly.
Users to following procedures such as Health and Safety and Food Safety processes.
Take responsibility for pointing out any errors or problems, we work in an environment of continuous improvement.
Completing repairs and liaising with Customer Services to ensure they are invoiced, prompting customer services to chase repairs that remain unpaid to maximise the storeroom space.
You will be confident in all Microsoft Office Packages and be able to lean other packages confidently.
You will be a team player with an understanding that all departments are working to the same goal of customer satisfaction.
At a Team Leader you will also:
Manage the workload of the department.
Plan in long term workload goals to move the department forward.
Set the standard and pace of work
Look at the repairs completed from a cost point of view, ensuring the department is creating revenue.
Ensuring accurate invoicing to customers and jobs are costed properly.
Look for continuous improvement in systems and processes though evaluation of our working practices.
Ensuring high levels of housekeeping across all members of the team.
Be proactive in implementing new processes across the business.
Heavy lifting (20-25kg) at times, understanding the importance of accurate picking and reporting. The variety of duties within this position requires the individual to be a flexible team player with excellent communication skills, methodical and a strong work ethic.
Standard hours of work 8am - 5pm, Monday and Friday however you may be asked to do overtime to meet company needs as and when required.
