As a

Team Leader

at The Dales Nursing Home, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the caregiving team, ensuring that all residents receive

dignified, respectful, and high-quality care

in line with our values and standards. You will play a key role in leading a team of caregivers and support staff, providing guidance and support, while ensuring that each resident's physical, emotional, and social needs are met in a compassionate and person-centered manner.

The Team Leader will be the

primary point of contact

for staff and residents on their assigned shift, working closely with the Registered manager and other healthcare professionals to create a positive and supportive environment for both staff and residents.

Job Role Responsibilities

Lead the care team on shift in delivering exceptional care for our residents. To give the Registered Manager a daily handover of the shift worked. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes the well-being of both residents and staff. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as company policies. Ensuring the team treat all residents with respect, empathy, and understanding at all times, regardless of their health conditions or personal challenges. Complete regular spot checks with care staff and feedback to the Registered Manager. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in resident conditions promptly.

Candidate requirements for this post

Proven experience in a leadership role within a care home.

Strong knowledge of IT systems relevant to care management and documentation.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals.

A compassionate approach to caring for others, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards residents' needs.

Ability to supervise a team effectively while promoting teamwork and collaboration.

Level 4 Health and Social Care qualification is essential for this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 15.50-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
