Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate
Team Leader
to join our growing team. You will play a key role in supporting both our young people and the staff team, helping to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance. Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the care team on shift
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment within the home
Build positive, trusting relationships with young people to enhance self-esteem and emotional well-being
Ensure the home operates in line with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practice standards
Support young people with daily routines, including personal care where required
Prepare meals and contribute to maintaining a clean and welcoming home environment
Administer medication in accordance with relevant procedures and training
Maintain accurate, timely, and professional records and documentation
Act as a role model, demonstrating resilience, empathy, and consistency in challenging situations
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum
Level 3 Diploma
in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) -
Essential
Previous experience working in a children's residential setting -
Essential
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skills
A full
UK driving licence

Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm, therapeutic, and consistent manner
