Our personalised supported living service for people (16-65) with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs is currently searching for a team leader to help develop our service. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for supporting and guiding a staff team to deliver high quality, person-centered care.

The successful applicant will hold a Level 3 diploma in Health & Social care (adults) and be flexible to work long days, sleep nights and every other weekend. They will at times be required to cover shifts when needed to help ensure service delivery, sometimes at short notice.
Seeds Care aim is to provide support which develops Service Users' skills in order for them to live meaningful, empowered and enjoyable lives, reaching their full potential.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has experience with the following
:
Autism and, or Asperger's
Learning Disabilities
Experience with challenging behaviour
Knowledge of positive behaviour support and providing emotional support
Understanding of the impact of trauma
Providing structure, including visual structure and consistent boundaries
Supporting effective social communication
Supporting independence and daily living skills, as well as community-based activities
Supporting positive risk taking
Mandatory Leadership Experience Required:
Health and safety responsibilities
Be aware of CQC legislation
Experienced with performing staff supervisions
Managing and resolving difficult staffing situations
Experience managing teams of 7+ staff members
Computer literate
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to effectively delegate
Good team player, and also able to work on own initiative
Proven experience of liaising effectively with professionals and family
Critical thinking / able to think "outside of the box"
Experience of formulating person centred care plans and risk assessments
Able to effectively chair meetings with; staff / professionals / families
Desirable skills
:
Experience in ADHD
Competent, confident and proactive with lone working
Mental Health inclusive of PTSD / Personality Disorder / Self harm
Experience with adults with communication difficulties including the use of pictures / Pecs or communication aids
